    Baptized Alford, Lincolnshire, 17 April 1614, son of Christopher Marshall. Matriculated at Cambridge at Easter 1632, but did not complete his degree. According to Edward Calamy, Christopher Marshall was "educated partly in Cambridge, and partly under Mr. Cotton at Boston in New-England." Minister from Alford, Lincolnshire, who came to Massachusetts Bay on the Recovery in 1634 (based on admission to Boston church on 28 August 1634. First settled in Boston; moved to Exeter in 1639.
    Died after 10 January 1672[/3] (date of will).

    (2) By 1652 Sarah _____ She was buried at Woodkirk, Yorkshire, on 23 February 1657[/8].
    (3) Woodkirk, Yorkshire, 16 November 1658 Sarah Neaustead.

    In his will, Christopher Marshall named "Anne Wharfe my sister" and "Bernard Marshall my brother his children." In Alford, Lincolnshire, we find the baptisms of thirteen children to a Christopher Marshal, from 1583 through 1616/7, the first six with a first wife and the last seven with a second wife. Among these were Bernard, baptized 23 August 1588, with the first wife, and Anna, baptized 15 September 1611, and Christopher, baptized 17 April 1614, both with the second wife [Alford PR 16, 29, 31].
    On 14 October 1630, "Richardus Wharfe et Anna Marshall" were married at Alford.
